MILO PAPERMAN
Aka Triangle Boy

BIOGRAPHY
Hi there! I'm Milo Paperman, a percussionist currently finishing my Master's of Percussion Performance at DePaul University in Chicago. I'm experienced in orchestral, new music, and opera and broadway repertoire. I especially love the complicated multi-percussion choreography of modern musicals and chamber operas.
A Seattle native, I started my percussion journey in middle school through the Seattle Youth Symphony program; and began my musical theater experience through the 5th Avenue Theater's Rising Star Project, performing the percussion books for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Sweet Charity, and the famously difficult West Side Story, with guidance from Paul Hansen. I performed Daugherty's Raise the Roof for Timpani and Orchestra as my senior concerto with the Garfield High School Orchestra, and received 2nd place in mallet percussion at the Washington State Solo and Ensemble competition with a performance of Deane's Mourning Dove Sonnet.
I then received his Bachelor's in Percussion Performance from Temple University, where I studied with Phil O'Banion, Chris Deviney, Bill Wozniak, Angie Zator-Nelson, and Rolando Morales-Matos. At Temple University, I performed with the university large ensembles, percussion ensemble, and opera and musical theater. I was also honored to be involved in the recording of Rollo Dilworth's Weather in 2023, released by BCMD records.
I've made some videos highlighting great percussion moments in the orchestral repertoire (with all parts performed and edited together by yours truly).
